    I am making a national hive from dave cushmans plans my question is will I have to leave bee space between the frame sides and the brood/super box wall or is it just the bottom space that is important

    On making my first inspection after making a A/S . The original hive is fine but the in the new hive when I lift out the frames to inspect I get a string of bees connect to the other frame like they are holding hands . Any ideas please :sos:

    Then use a plastic spacer that is not pushed on all the way to fill the gap if its not long enough glue 2 together

    How often should one check for Varroa, The person i bought my bees from makes a weekly check and the training apairy I go to made acheck last week and thet said they dont put the varroa tray back until the autumn which is right :confused:
