    Yesterdays mission... Unite 9 colonies into 5 + make a couple of nucs... Tonight and the rest of my evenings this week , assemble the super frames I should of done weeks ago.....

    Back up nuc is always a good idea.. We've done a couple of A/S over the weekend. Whenever poss we split of a nuc at the sametime.. 1. Prime Queen to new hive. 2. Open cell with brood in original hive. 3. Open cell + couple of frames of brood to nuc... Can make for lots of colonies '...

    As beekeepers we experience highs and lows throughout the season..:hairpull: When I found this yesterday , I come to the conclusion, they didn't like their new queen.... And left them to get on with it !

    Laid on the ground under the hives with a torch... Yep ,,,, I was checking for swarm cells.... Daft idea ' but at least I got out the house...:spy:

    Full lap today , 5 sites 25 colonies , 7 + hours... felt like a days work !! One queenless colony , capped brood only , broke down emergency Q/cells ( united with next door ) was going well !!! :hairpull: Another with Q/cells 3 open supersede cells ( on face on two frames ) & one capped...
