I love doing this with my grandson. He passes me the bits and nails and tools, I assemble them. He loves the idea of helping me, I love having him arround and something of value is produced. What could be better?

I've had an idea for some time of of buying an old vacuum (small one) with a long tube and simply vac up the little blighters. Anyone tried this?

I have tried to grow bee friendly plants in my garden (all sorts) but the little blighters just fly off elsewhere. never see my bees in my garden unless they are resting. Maybe they believe the old phrase "The other man's grass is greener" No pleasing some people. :(

Light syrup spray? What mix and how do you use? Very very interested in the idea as I always hate the use of smoke but up till now had no alternative. Would love to find a bee friendly way.

Got all the stuff for a complete second hive, plus 4 extra suppers on top of the existing 2 per hive plus this odd size brood. (could make a third hive with a floor, roof and a few odds and ends)
