    A/S advice please

    Hive direction when A/S

When performing an A/S should you keep the hive entrance at the same direction or does it not matter? I had a thought that on the old BB that is moved away if the hive entrance direction is changed the bees would sense that, and reorientate and return to the old BB on the new site. Instead of...

    How long to replenish stores

Bees working hard today, they started early just before 8 am. Slowed down after 4pm but it was still warm. Does that mean the have replenished all the stores? How long should the stores last from 1 good days foraging? There is a lot of brood, bees covering about 8 frames.

    Not collecting pollen

I have had my first hive for nearly 2 weeks and whenever the bees go out for foraging there is always a good percentage bringing back pollen, today there is no pollen going into the hive, is it because it has been raining or is it possible I have damaged the queen when doing my first inspection?

How many bee loads to fill a frame

I was watching my hive today, it was extremely busy and i estimated at about 150 bees coming in per minute. About 20% carrying pollen. I wondered if there is a way of estimating how many cells they would fill in a day at that rate?
