    Fera Warning.

    Received Fera warning tonight re starving bees. Already feeding 4 out of 6 of my colonies. Full inspection today revealed that all stores are very low. However does seem to be a slight flow coming in today.

    Found this bumble bee in my workshop, caught out by the weather I suspect, feeding on syrup.

    Bee up your trousers.

    First inspection this weekend. My wife was keen to help but having a bee up your trousers is never a good outcome. She was slow to swat it and it got her first. Pity as my bees are really easy to handle but one up her leg let the whole lot down.bee-smillie

    Was in the workshop making up supers listening to Steve Wright (radio 2). When on his factoides he's colleague happened to mention that super to a beekeeper means a box to keep bees in. :)
