I will take a look at Octopus , i do run a unit that draws just over 1.045kwh 24hrs a day and the cheap bit you mentioned peaked my interest . Due to renew in January .
Its going to save the bees .

Very much so . On the fingers is fine . On the meaty bit of the arm it bloody hurts . Sweating buckets inside the gloves doesn't help .

Found first 2019 laying queen . Got stung on the arm . They seem to hate the elastic on the wrist . Put clearers on . 12 supers to come off .

What make is it ? If its polly could you put a mini polly super with drawn frames on top to give a bit of space ? Or dummy them down into a spare brood body with a frame each side of what they have ?

Hollow dense block . I think . Shop about at the builders merch's . Can even pick up the odd damaged one . But they are bloody heavy .

Just an idea . Maybe Rambling groups could be asked to look for nests at this time of year . Must be a big network of Ramblers that access areas the general public do not .
