    I have found the best tool for poly hives is a paint scraper thin enough to slide in without damaging poly surface and broad enough for leverage to separate supers etc..

    Asian Hornet

    Asian hornets are also aggressive towards humans. Several reports of people being attacked in France and having to be hospitalised. Last year one newspaper claimed that there was 6 deaths (including an elderly beekeeper) in various parts of France so it is not only the bees that at risk.

    Think about the thousands of pots of home made jam etc. sold every weeek-end at charity fairs, bazaars, church sales. Was there not something years ago trying to regulate them which was abandoned ?.

    Honeycomb in empty super

    As a newby and reading forum followed what I thought was general consensus by placeing empty super to facilate apiguard treatment (Smith hive) to be "cleaned" now have a ball of honeycomb the size of a melon attached to crown board do I leave it scrape it off bees still seem to collecting from...
