    Quick visit to hives today to top up feed in small nuc? on the grass was a small pile of bees 100/150 on further inspection a queen we marked 2 months ago was dead in the middle of them, I removed the queen and the bees flew off. Not sure if it would be a cast swarm and they just overheated...

    In Plymouth I have collected 5 swarms lost two on returning at night mt skep and had three hives swarm. 16 calls for bumble bees one for My lawns full of bees?????? I am baffeled by people who don't know what a bumble looks like.

    The tree in question is the Cottonwood you will find that the seed fluff is very flammable take a small amount and light it best thing to start your camp-fire. Populus deltoides, Populus fremontii, or Populus nigra just some of the many cottonwood trees. Hope this helps Robbie
