I have had the same in the past, my bees were just out enjoying the good weather.

3 weeks ago my hive (national) swarmed and i was left with 2 q cells, i then went away for a week and with the rotten weather have only recently completed an inspection,result was no brood or eggs or any sign of the q cells or q,the bees or bringing in nectar with a little pollen what would be...

I also had my delivery today, a lot quicker than I was expecting

They were normal drone size and about 1/2 a dozen or so,

I was renewing the fondant on one of my hives this morning and noticed on my other hive drones coming and going, this weather is certainly confusing my bees.

OK OK, I will give them a second chance. I pity any mouse that may be tempted to bed down in there :smilielol5:

I thought it was time to put the mouse excluder’s on my 2 hives today, The first one, reducer out excluder on no bees, but the second one, as soon as I pulled out the reducer the bees poured out and were not best pleased (stung twice :cuss:)so will have to get the smoker out and try on Friday...

I have the same problem with wasps and so have left my entrance reducer on and will wait a little longer before putting the mouse guards on

I have just got back from my 2 hives at the bottom of the garden, my job today was to place a super that was on top of the BB to below and leave them till next year, boy were they angry, bees everywhere and now I,m waiting for them to calm down so I can put the reducer back

i am now in my 2nd year and last year we left a super on, the brood box had lots of stores and we fed fondant in the winter, by the time spring arrived and we did an inspection we found the bees had not touched the super so this year i may take all the supers as long as they have stores in the bb
