Does anyone else have a problem with rain collecting in the recess where the frames hang in my paynes poly brood box? It's a new hive this year and all seems to fit together properly. This doesn't happen in the supers. I'm wondering if the Q excluder is creating a gap?

Husband just got stung on temple while cutting the grass. Have done 15 mins of the hot cloth remedy, but it's quite near his eye and his lid is now swelling. Any other remedies out there that he could try? And he WAS wearing a hat - will put him in full suit next time!

Does anyone know a quick way to fit new foundation to existing brood frames, without disassembling the whole frame? The foundation I used was a year or two old and the bees haven't drawn touched it since I put it in at the end of last summer(!). Only one frame, but I'm loathe to waste it...
