    Had to move hives today as the fruit farm where we had our bees was bought out by the Co.op and they said very bluntly " move them off our land!!!" Nice company bee-smillie

    Against the grain re feeding

    As posted last week i lost a nuc through robbing, my larger colony being next door.Have been still feeding syrup as mentor instructed , today i checked them and stores looking good but fed them some fondant to make sure as way too late for syrup i feel .Really enjoing this dry spell :banghead...

    Sunflowers

    Eating honey

    Just out of interest, do all beeks like honey ??? I love it :drool5:..Also the smell of a warm super with its honey and cedar scents need to replicated by Glade or suchlike...I would sit a super with its frames on the side in my lounge but think Mrs A. B 's may not agree:rofl:

    Local honey price

    Just been to my local health food shop who's been there for around 30 year's and was chatting to him about honey, he sell's a local beek's own labelled honey for £6.20lb ... so £3.20 a jar that i will sell at is a steal!!! He said he will buy any honey that i have at full price so we all win:party:

    On the move

    My mentor and i are moving our 4 hives on Monday eve if the weather is ok,where they are now is mainly O.S.R but once that's finished there's not much in the way of forage..     Swarm draws comb

    Collected a swarm from a friends colony last night and put them in my second hive last night , checked them this afternoon and they have collected stores and drawn 4 new frames to the point where the comb almost meet !!! Amazing stuff ..... God i love my girls:party:

    Bee cam

    Has anyone got any advice on how to set up a camera on the entrance to one of my hives?Where to buy and how to set up etc etc.Was hoping to have my first 2 hives in my garden but moving in a couple of weeks and new house only has a small garden so hives being sited about 1 mile away. :)
