    Clustering under the omf

    Being very fresh here and having asked a question about landing boards, could it be a problem with bees dropping short of the hive, then climbing or flying underneath the hive? Either lack of energy or windy weather to get into the hive first try. It was one the points noted as a reason for boards.

I'm building them into the stands so no problems with transporting hives, They will be in a windy area at times, I'm just starting out and will be looking at bees alot (not internally) so would be nice to see them flying in and out. so for me I think it's a yes...

    Hi all, Just done a search but can't find my answers? I'm new to this and just about to build my stands for my nationals. But can't seem to find why some people have boards and some don't, I suppose there is no real definative answer but would like to here peoples thoughts?

    hedgerow winery

    I'm a home brewer myself, Got 5 dj's of Spud wine, 1 Dj of parsnip all clearing, just bottled 5 gal of rice wine, and 2 gal of Rhubarb. We had poor crops of plum, gooseberry etc so not done many country wines this winter, so done some Carton juice wines which are nice and quick to bottle...
