These Honey Badgers seem to be hard arse, I like them. I like our UK Badgers but the TB problem needs to be sorted?

Not sure whether to worry or not, we have in the past had a number of bumble bee nests dug out by what we believed to be Badgers ( lot of sets nearby ) will they leave our Bees alone?

Can the varroa mesh be sprayed with silicone spray to make it more slippery or is it too toxic?

Back to the old chestnut, everything feeds of everything else in one way or another, when normal food gets short other sources are looked at, in many cases we have the overall control and must be very careful how we exercise it!

Hornet type I have just googled 'Asian Hornet' & lots of pics! They seem to be more like large wasps? yellow and black strips? Not like our more brownish stripped hornet. The Asian hornets sound real nasty, probably know when they arrive, hope it's not me to get the first sting!

From what I have seen you are one of the good honest old style beekeepers who are now putting their feet up, giving invaluable information to newbees and passing on your your old equipment at sensible prices, to bee commended!

This appears to be a classic case of the squeezed middle classes, for middle classes read 'decent people' not rich but honest. I suspect HP is in a post code area which has a lot of crime and uninsured cars, the insurance companies can only get money out of 'decent people' to cover their costs...
