    The super is with the split and the brood with most of the food (no flying bees to forage) They have not swarmed I think next chink of sun and they would have been away. The Queen cell is just about sealed.

    Moved the hive the 20 meters. Weather was'nt great and the flying bees came out in small numbers back to the original site.     first inspection due -preparation needed

    I,m a novice myself but i recon if the queen cell has hatched your nuc could have swarmed or a swarm is imminent the first chink of sun. If you see new eggs i recon it should be ok. and leave alone. I think its best not to tamper too much.

    Pollen Intake

    Was wondering what controls the intake of pollen in a hive .I noticed last year at certain times about 1 in 20 bees coming with pollen and other times 1 in 5 and then sometimes none,and different hives coming in with more pollen than others.
