    I have been proactive in that i have been takeing cetirizine dihyrochoride, 1 a day non-drowsy it cost me 4.99 from the chemist but managed to get it on the internet for 0.99,but still reacting badly to being stung. Buzz

    Checked the bees yesterday, got one and ahalf supers full of capped honey, no sign of queen, eggs or brood, very few bees in the supers. Checked the double brood boxes got sealed brood, eggs,stores and loads of pollen.

    You could put some on a couple of weeks before sowing, and then put some wood ash (potassium) in the summer ....Buzz

    Hi Darran, Growmore fertiliser is slow releasing so needs to be sprinkled on 2 weeks be planting. I tend to use more blood,fish and bone meal, putting it around the plants to give them a boost. carrots and parsnips are best not planted in freshly manured ground as it can make the fork....Buzz

As a new beek and a member of my local beekeeping club, i advised to leave the 2 brood boxes on as the queen was such a good layer, and also to leave 1 super of stores for then, as i said earlier i put a wet super on which they re-filled in a week ,so i left that one on as...

    I was adviced too leave a supper on for the bees, I then returned a wet supper for them to clean but they filled it up in a week. I have also treated them with Apigard and oxalic . Buzz
