I was going to start a thread to ask about what to do with part filled frames after my final extraction but I think this answers my question. If I put the part filled frames in a super under the brood box they’ll empty them for me?

The split seem fine. They’re smaller in number hence why I thought that it might have been space that was the issue. Presumably they have the same genes though

The split is now a colony of its own. Too big to combine unless I go double brood I suppose.

My cousin has asked me for some comb honey. Is it just a case of cutting a piece out of what I’ve got (trying not to include the wire in the foundation) or do I need to start again with special foundation, or no foundation at all?
