Having just put my queen in the Nuc, I have blocked the entrance with grass as per instructions, but when I remove the grass which setting should I use on the disc? The queen excluder or fully open? Thank you very much for your help.

Not sure, there seemed to be plenty of room last time I inspected, which was a week ago. I guess the only way to tell is to take a look..... There are still a lot under there.

Many apologies if this is already answered somewhere on the Forum. I did a Demaree on 5 April. I had checked the upper brood box twice before today (on 9 and 12 April) removing (I thought) all the queen cells (3-4 charged but not sealed each time). But today there were three sealed queen cells...

One of my hives lost its marked queen (whether by a swarm or the queen dying) but when I inspected had sealed queen cells, so I kept the best one and waited the advised 3 weeks (actually nearly 4). When I looked in after this there was just drone, no worker brood. Couldn’t find a queen so...

There was a lot of sealed brood but only about a frame of stores, but maybe stop feeding?

I’m not entirely sure. They just looked like queen cells to me, on two frames at the edges. I rejected the best and largest one as it was almost on the actual frame rather than the comb so would have been easily damaged. The others were smaller and I hopefully kept the best one
