    Thanks for your response Ericbeaumont and Anduril Yes I have a contact who could provide me with a frame of eggs / larvae and will do this if required. I will check the floor for dead bees also. Thanks for the advice.

    I think the water droplets are from wind driven rain, especially after the storms we have had all over the country. you need to buy one of my WBC hives to put your national in. WBCs are the only hive that it driven rain proof !

    What's flowering as forage in your area

    bees flying today in 3 hours of sunshine, they are clearing dead bees from the hive which is interesting to watch. the sloping solid floor and landing board really helps them to do this clearing. Noticed the hazel has formed catkins, do you think they are getting pollen from that ?

    No the roof isn't leaking but ive just realised that I have removed the crown board and put the kingspan with the cut out for the fondant straight onto the top of the brood box frames?. Do you think this may be the problem? I will wait till the weather warms a bit and replace the crown board...
