How long can a newly mated and laying queen be held in a cage before being introducing to a new hive?

Hi all. I've one hive with a few too many unwanted guests (varroa)!! What is the quickest method of at this time of year??:). This is a strong 2012 queen that I was going to send to a late OSR crop. Thanks is advance. :)

After all the trouble with swarming I've had this year, it's so uplifting to find 3 newly mated and laying queens. On checking a few days ago, we find one of the new mamas is being superceded. There is larvae but no eggs and 1 superceder cell. I checked again today to find some emergency cells...

We have 2 hives really misbehaving. I'm fed up with them:smash.One has swarmed on me 3 times.I only left 1 Qcell(I thought I did!!)Depending on what I find today, can I unite them together and re queen????

I had a huge swarm today that we have caught and hived. When I went back throuhg the original hive, I found 1 QC that I missed. It is embedded in the foundation with a Qcup attached to the end of it. Any ideas? And am I right in thinking they will build more more Qcells now they are queenless??

finally had a good day for the bees. We got to go though 4 of our hives today:) In one hive we found 2 charged Q cells. One was actively being broken down by the bees and the other I broke down as there aren't many drones or drone brood yet. Similar thing in another hive but only an egg in one...

hi all. Need to feed cos of this weater and break in forage, but will the girls store it in the drawn supers they have on?? Ialso have a hive bursting with bees.They are in the super they have, but not doing anything with it! is ok to put another on and feed?
