    Week old chicks

    Any of you beeks poultry keepers also. Just got some week old chicks, they are currently on a feed that includes a anti coccidistat. Should I continue or put them on chick crumbs without the additive.

    Night Shift

    Paint for feeders

    New bees

    Sitting in the garden now the proud owner of two nucs, curtesy of Ian. Fantastic watching them get used to their home. All the waiting and classes over the winter worth it. Seems like having kids all over again. I am a bee owner now and looking forward to cracking the beekeeping bit!!

    Dummy boards

    When making dummy boards are they the same dimension as the frame or the inside dimension of the box. Appreciate they can be if different thicknesses.

    I need to make a couple of travelling screens, What is the best mesh (cheapest) to get, and any ideas of where to get it. I have been looking at the standard garden insect mesh, seems to be wasp proof is this OK?
