Thanks, they were a swarm from a hive (artifical swarm?) and appeared docile although I was stung through my rubbish gloves. I sort of wanted to be stung early so I am not scared of being stung again. I have no supers on but had 10 frames and I think only two are empty. Perhaps they are edgy...
