    Inspection tray

Hi all! Does this need to be in when using apiguard? Also, found a wax moth larvae in the inspection tray, is there actually anything that needs to be done or with wax moth is it just hope the colony is strong enough to deal with them.. Thanks Ben

    Robbing

I have given them some today (just to be on the safe side) I guess with the variables being-number of bees, amount of stores, robbing and weather there can't be a reliable formula..

    Robbing

Thanks for answer, I've been a little worried recently as mine when from over 2 frames of stores to around 1.5.. so no need to panic just yet then!

    Apiguard

Hi, No honey to be taken off this season so that in mind, when would be the best time to treat with apiguard? The colony is small but looks very healthy/happy so is a treatment needed? Can it do any harm (other than wasting it) Thanks Ben

    Re-queen

Hi, Just wondered what the consensus was for a newbie regarding re-queening? Should this be left to the bees to sort out via a supersedure or should the queen be replaced, and if so, should it be after 2 or 3 years? Thanks Ben

I've just squeezed several snakes and put the oil in the wasp trap.. wasps appear confused and now have many freshly squeezed snakes causing problems around the hive.. should I just start squeezing wasps now?

    Frames not drawn yet...

Thanks for the advice, if I move a frame with stores and swap it for an untouched wax frame, is there a chance the frame with stores will be more likely to be unattended and be more likely to be robbed/go bad.. sorry, I'm the master of overthinking/worrying..

    Frames not drawn yet...

Hi, I put a 6 frame nuc into a national hive in the beginning of July and fed for a week or so. They have been a bit slow at drawing out the comb though. Someone on here said to put an undrawn frame into the brood area and that seems to have worked a treat as its fully drawn and packed with...
