Finally i have been given the gift of a prime that did not come from my own stocks, cut them out this evening. nice local bees, should perk up my apiary gene pool nicely.

Has anyone ever seen or heard of two hives swarming simultaneously, and the swarms merging in the chaos to settle as one. ?

I said to my wife this morning as she dragged me into town, " i sense my bees may swarm today" went up to the apiary 2 hours ago and Voila.

This super went on last weekend, only 3 frames partially drawn, rest foundation, just shows how quickly Bees can progress, glad i checked this morning, nother super on, looks strong need to watch this one.

Found these little ladies having a get together on the inside of a wbc lift this morning, nowt amazing just made me smile so thought id share it. WBC's do have extra uses in helping other wildlife it would seem.

Wasn't going to bother this year till yesterdays yellow jacket dance. And well done to whomever it was who added the rain cover previously on here, I used the wifes water trays this time. Will deploy later.

All this talk of swarms, the only things ive had in mine this year was a Mouse, and the recent squatters found today. Thats 4 Hornets nests and 2 wasps nests ive had to deal with in the last 6 weeks, lots of Hornets about this year round my way.

Hi Just wondering if anyone has a 2-4 frame (universal) Plastic Radial Extractor for sale ? I have a large stainless steel radial, but its cumbersome to move and not worth using for just a few frames at a time, i am after a much smaller version for just doing a super at a time. Cheers
