Labour to end exemptions from ban on neocotinids

I'd like to go pescatarian if fish wasn't so damn expensive. Ridiculous really. We sell all of our best fish abroad where you can buy it cheaper than the crap we get here.

HOW TO: Make soft set honey from OSR

How do you warm your honey if you have quite a lot of buckets? One at a time in a honey cabinet? I have an oven that can be set to 40c but I am wincing at the potential electricity bill for the amount of hours it will need.

What did you do in the 'workshop' today

I've just attached my wired foundation to the top bar. It seems OK. I can see I'll need to be extra careful to keep the foundation straight so that it doesn't bow in the frame. Hopefully it will be fine.

What did you do in the 'workshop' today

I assembled my first langstroth frame today. I was surprised there were no grooves on the side bars for the foundation to sit in.

What did you do in the Apiary today?

I used to get terrible swelling. 50+ stings later and I don't get a reaction. I got a sting to the face because I pulled my hood down and didn't realise there was a grumpy bee crawling on me still. Aside from the initial pain, there was no reaction. It might be something that will go away after...

    Does foundation matter?

Some of that wax could be from cheap foundation that has been drawn out in the first place from who knows where. I can't see how you can sell premium wax when you don't really know the source

What did you do in the 'workshop' today

Today I am assembling a langstroth hive. This is my first experience with langstroth. Is this about normal for the langstroth top beespace? It looks a little small to me.

    New here!

It's the same in south east Asia but I think they have to be quite nomadic with the bees and travel to the nectar sources

    Apiary vandalism / animal rights

I think the mods edited your post to 'Mole Hill Honey' for a reason. Unfortunately, the way Youtube works requires a click baity nature to earn money. And no-one can argue that full time beekeepers couldn't use the extra money. He has some very useful videos, I am unsure why you are going out of...

Leg jiggling: is it a male-only phenomenon? An observational study in an airport café.

All the women I know tend to be more present and in the moment. A lot of men I know are dwelling in the past and future. Perhaps it is connected

    Raw honey

I think customers that buy their honey straight from the beekeeper can tell the difference in taste between good beekeepers honey and the other trash regardless of what it says in the label. The rest is just faff that isn't worth worrying about. On a hobbyist's level, the average customer is...

    Questions about poly hives

I had unbelievable wax moth damage on my return to the hobby. Generation after generation of wax moths eating whole frames and eating into boxes. All brood wax completely gone. Never again. They even ate my beesuit that I foolishly left on top of the hives before I went away for a few years

Same here as part of ME. I find stretching Yoga before bed helps. I've just started taking CBD oil to treat ME. That may help

    Queen cage - varroa management

Yes. Maybe we can remedy it by turning the UV up a notch on sunbeds and put lead in furniture polish

    Queen cage - varroa management

There does seem to have been an unhealthy rise in arrogance, vanity and orange people with bad hair over the last 20 years.

    Queen cage - varroa management

Yes. I think that may have been the better option. Or post after the morning cup of coffee, never before.
