hi after losing my bees a couple of weeks ago is it too late in the year to start again? the queen stopped laying and they dwindled away so should I wait till next year? I've been promised a colony from a friend but as of now they haven't arrived so can anyone help cheers ken:thanks:

hi well, my bees did ok this winter when I opened up the hive a few weeks ago on a warmish day i had about 6 full super frames full of bees but over the last few weeks, the bees seem to get fewer. an experienced beekeeper helped me clean up after the winter and she said the girls were doing ok...

hi it was warm yesterday and saw a few bees coming out of the restricted entrance hole so i removed the restrictor only to find a layer of dead bees on the hive floor, i took a peep under the crown board it was full of healthy bees i scraped out the dead bees and then lots bees flew out and went...

hi just wondering how hungry bees can be? i feed my bees 2 weeks ago with 5lbs of sugar,i had a peep at them yesterday and its all gone so put another 2kg in,hope it lasts till new year cheers ken

hi overthe last week or so there has been a lot of dead bees on the flight board ive been in the hive to feed them this morning and they look spot on so why the dead bees outside the hive? cheers ken:thanks:

hi im very new to bee keeping and was thrown in at the deep end!! well the bees are working,the honey comb is capped,some brown some white,but look as i may ive yet to find the queen? the mate who gave them to me said he got the the bees from a tree when his bees swarmed ive had them about6...
