    Re-using poly hives

So which cillit bang do you use - the orange limescale and shine or the green grease and sparkle?

    My Poly boxes

Mine are 2 yr old, first year they chewed a hole just above the entrance (i assume they were congested as i had reduced the entrance due to a plague of wasps) and last year they chewed themselves a skylight in one of the supers

    My Poly boxes

I've also got paynes and you're right about the bees chewing holes. Do you use the entrance blocks that come with the maisemore hives? They're really flimsy and I've snapped 2 because the girls gummed up the entrance. maybe i'm just clumsy.

Queen cell found - what to do?

Hi I inspected a hive yesterday prior to treating with Apiguard and found a queen cell. I also found the queen (who is from this year), along with eggs, larvae, stores etc and apart from a high wasp presence, for which I have placed traps and reduced the entrance everything else appears...
