    I have a swarm in my garden that has just left one of my hives and has taken up residence in an apple tree. If I catch it and put it in a hive adjacent to it's old home, is the swarm likely to stay?

    I feel like a right berk asking stupid questions! Have just found 7 queen cells with Jelly in them and realise I need to do an artificial swarm. Problem is I've done one on another hive 10 days ago and now don't have another hive! I do have this Travelling box that takes about half a dozen...

    Mouldy Frames

    Wow - thank you. I just assumed that with a load of 'nasty' spores this might be detrimental to the Bees health! Do I need to clean any of the crud off?

    Can anybody tell me what Ive done wrong? I put all of these frames in a spare super in my garage for the winter. Upon examining them, they are covered in various 'threadlike' fungi. Presumably I will have to rip them all out and start again which I'm a bit gutted about as a lot of Bee work...

    Almost at the end of year one, I have somehow managed to turn 1 colony into three, which wasn't the plan at the start of the year. The first colony has 3 full supers nearly all capped, whereas the other two seem to be happy just messing around in their brood chambers. I'm not sure if I should...
