    Moving bees a mile

    In the past i have moved my bees in a shot distance (a mile or so) by blocking the entrance moving them and then unblocking the entrance 3 days later and not had any issues. This time so that i can close the entrance when they are not flying i will have to block them in then move them 3 days...

    Single national brood box

    Does anyone use just a single brood box I start out on brood and a half as advised buy my mentor but changed to 12x14 for the past few years as it easier. Someone i was talking to recently said most should do fine on a single standard national brood box .

    hives bursting at the seams

    Thanks for the reply's i think i will put on another super To clarify the 12x14 is full off bees and they have put a lot of stores in certainly enough for a normal winter in addition they have also filled a super and are now bursting for more room and yesterday they were all out flying

    both my hives are still very busy They are on 12x14s and have almost filled it with stores they have also filled a super in the last couple of weeks and are now bursting at the seams Do i put another super on or hope they slow down soon
