Sat watching my bees as I type this. I have a nuc that had a q hatch 18 days ago. Haven't looked in yet planed Sunday. But it seems like they are under attack two or three bees trying to get in and being forces away. Watched for 30mins non got in but a few skirmishes advise please. Cheers

Due to bad weather I was two days late inspecting last week should I wait a week from last inspection or go back after five days and return to original routine.

My brood box has its frames at 90 degrees to the entrance. I have relised this makes it a little awkward to do my inspection ( I am very inexperienced) could I rotate it so the are parallel to opening. I can then work from the rear of hive much easier.

I am very new to beekeeping and have enjoyed reding through lots of threads. Keep reading about "dumming down" and insulating even in the summer. Please can anyone fill me in. Is it ok to wrap a hive up in insulation especially in the winter.
