The farm that my bees are on Has alfalfa. MP is correct it's cut regularly for feed for dairy cattle. Never really seen it in flower

On a similar vein ,my frames moved on transit and I didn't notice. I now have two massively thick frames and one that has a whole frame size piece of wild combe attached full of eggs ! Should I just leave it until the spring and then do as suggested by moving the outside frame pulling them...

I'm not back in until wednesday. Then I can see how things are looking. Going to feed a little while weather is iffy.

Does ivy nectar go hard and make it difficult for bees to feed mid winter. I have a small colony with anew queen 4 frames of bias some stores and pollen and partly drawn frames, dummied down but not many bees. Dont want to fill up with syrup so just topping up slowly with 1:1 to leave space for...

:sos::sos::sos::sos:Bees were really getting it this afternoon hundreds of bees at entrance fighting under hive. Entrance down to one tight bee space can't move them any help appreciated. Worst case scenario is it just no stores and I will have to feed heavily ? Bees on 10 frames new q 6 weeks.
