Advice seems to be buy new queen, the one I have is duff. The original queen, (given to friend) also sounds like is having trouble so I guess the social thing to do is remove all their genes from the local gene pool, shame as her temperament was excellent.

I put the brood nurses and QC in a hive not a nuc, so hopefully will not be about to swarm, in fact the bees in this hive have torn down the queen cell that was in there so they seem happy with the old queen! just read some other threads, these forums allow you to briefly enter other peoples...

Well alright it was me, but I think I did the pagden swarm -only in a bad order - the clipped queen had swarmed, I had collected the swarm from the front of the hive into a box and emptied it into the old hive, realise now that I did not make sure that the queen stayed there and whilst I sorted...

Thanks....I'll leave them, I had SN1s and something with the same size lugs but wider middles, correctly bought DN1s once, have no idea what I did this time, and the frames were 14x12s, which is nothing compared to the stuff I dare not admit to cocking up.....

Made a lot of them too. Please tell me that it won't make any difference to the brood, I can see that the super frames I made with the brood top bars will be more difficult to decap.
