    Have shaken out a hive with laying workers about 100mts away. Replaced hive on original site. Can I now unite hive with a strong colony using the paper method? Opinions

    have got a swarm on 7 frames in brood box which i have had for 10 days. Checked yesterday and could not find queen anywhere. eggs are present but more than one in a lot of cells. any advice.

    queen cells

    second brood chamber?

    After my first inspection last weekend, i found my brood chamber nearly full.There were stores and lots of capped brood. Was thinking of adding a second brood chamber to give the queen more space to lay. i got hive last year and split as was new. she is a very prolific layer. any thoughts.
