Dark Honey, smells unusual ! What is it?

I have just removed some very dark, fusty smelling (a bit like pee/socks)honey, unusual anyway. Tastes lovely, just wondering what it might come from. Edge of town setting with a range of trees around me from lime to walnut and horse chestnut. Lots of gardens and parkland Thanks Mark

    Honey Liquefier

Hi Rooftops, Yes it would indeed be a very expensive warming cabinet, but this is not the one that i am asking about -see link in my second post. Have you used one of these? If so how do you rate it. Warming cabinet is too slow/variable for what i need. Regards Marc

Which books are most highly recommended?

Just finished reading The Beemaster of Warrilow by Tickner Edwardes,,,a truly beautiful read from an age when beekeeping and beekeepers practiced beekeeping as an art and not so much of a science. It reminded me that there is still much to learn from those that have gone before Marc

Which books are most highly recommended?

One of my favourites is still Practical Beekeeping by Clive de Bruyn. However a really useful little book is Teach Yourself Beekeeping by Adrian and Claire Waring. Light on pretty pictures but really has a wealth of information if you take the time to read it. Marc
