How many wasps can you see on the outside of the nest??? Looks pretty clean to me. Its an old nest from a previous year, and not that large when you compare it to the bricks behind it. Ive done sofa size nests and they are BIG. Just a publicity stunt to boost business.

WASPS!!!! The popping or ticking noise is the young wasps in the nest. The buzzing noise is wasps fanning the nest to cool it down.

I disagree. People phone me, "i have a large swarm of wasps hanging from my tree, when can you get here" They never ask me where i live, they just want to know a time that i can be there to rid them of the pesky swarm of wasps.

I couldnt agree more, from some of the comments on this forum, i believe that there are a fair few beekeepers out there that dont know how dangerous a colony "can" be.

I dunno! Surely its easier to land on a page, click your county and be presented with a selection of people within that county that collect bees? Or maybe i am over complicating things :D I collect swarms all over north hampshire, so why should a swarm owner have to select their nearest swarm...

Hi Trapperman, not long got home... So far this season is going very well. I hope it lasts. Lots of multiple nests about and i have some cracking hd footage of twin nests which are only inches apart. Just picked up a chuffin gurt bee swarm too. So now need to find an owner :D

Find the nest and kill it!!! Its always assumed (wrongly) that wasps wont nest near to each other, so many folk think there will only be one nest in the area. I killed 11 nests on one house the other day and there was definatley more nests there. I am waiting for the call to return :D
