I live near Chicago, so I built long hives using deep Langstroth frames and the Dartington Hive idea. 21 frames based on dimensions of two standard 10 frame boxes. One can buy a poly version of a Dartington Hive from Omlet in UK. They have great PDF manual one can download from their web site.
