    The box arrangement on the front is acting like a kill zone ,the odd one making it down the hose is being confused when it enters the box then clobbered by the bees ,can see them desperately trying to squeeze out the mesh.Guess if I put the disk back on and reduce that entrance too,the traffic...

    Their gonna have to be expendable for now!at least until it's up to strength,they have a feeder inside and pollen patty to help .prob what's drawing the wasps however no stores in the comb.     That's a great help thanks , I've got some spare varroa mesh I can cut up and fashion something with some pallet wood today, the other half of problem is the bee's are so placid,wasps cant even get within a ft of my dark bee hive

    Last ditch attempt,moved it on top of my strong colony facing another way , hose pipe in entrance and plant pot with lots of holes to try confuse the wasps !

    I have nowhere Thanks for info. They have found the new nuc even though moved it away. I have locked them in the the nuc for the day,added a length of hose pipe into the entrance and stuffed it with grass.Hopefully that might stop the wasps entering.

    Ok , had a check this morning , wasps still hammering it ,so last ditch attempt,closed the nuc up and moved it , cut a length of hose that extends about half way in , stuffed the end with grass.other side of nuc is open on ventilation slots on disc and there is a screened floor. I will place...
