    Ian btw ... Dave Cushman site has this ... "Netting made from polyethylene yarn can also be used for collection." might have a go at this later in the year but do you have a recommended approach for this ?

    moved two hives last night about 15m to an area with newly laid patio slabs so its a safer working area. still cold here and wet and likely to rain more over the weekend so took this last chance for spring prep. my question is ... is it right that I should put twigs and branches in front...

    ha ha ... well I used to use it all the time before I got involved here. that's the thing see ... looks like honey .. tastes like honey and I was happy paying £1.05 but now I have bee's and see whats actually involved ...no brainer

    Thanks to all the votes for the Titan .. mine failed after some light work in 2019 and a bit of occasional frame making in 2020 ... 11months old .. Returning it tonight for a new one with two year warranty :-)

    just used some Thyme honey we bought in NZ ( south island) that I found in back of the cupboard .... doesnt work in porridge but does a nice job on parsnips !
