    Non-Smoker

My grandfather was an ex miner also. He was due on shift when the Gresford disaster happened, fortunately though he had transferred to Llay main and avoided the explosion but returned to join the rescue squad. Eventually was run over by a coal cart when a wire rope snapped and was retired. His...

    Stainless honey settling tank

The blue box company parts are not too bad as long as that said part is not made of rubber, or steel 🤣. Unfortunately with the demise of Bearmach those crappie blue boxes are now becoming the only option. I always endeavour to buy genuine when I can, but even the local main stealer now stock...

    Card sales

We have used most, if not all of the different card machine providers and found Dojo to be far & away the best by a mile. The readers have their own sim card which is not network specific, it roams to the strongest network. There was an event last year that the only traders able to accept cards...

Cutting Cut Comb - What Do You Use?

This is exactly what I use, but it's been sharpend within an inch of its life as otherwise as mentioned, can crush the comb. I've a very cheap, but wickedly sharp knife bought from IKEA that is used for chunk sections.

Cutting Cut Comb - What Do You Use?

I've a set of wooden handled victorinox butchers knives that were inherited from a relative that I feel exactly the same way about.

    Honey Pump

We have two from Lyson, the largest is 50mm bore for filling/emptying barrels and the small carry around that works off the sump & is 40mm bore. The big one is overkill as will empty a barrel in minutes. Neither has caused any issues and are easy to clean after use.

    National hive and Modified national

I have four original pre 2nd WW national broods and two super that belonged to my grandfather. All are still used and the timber is very hard and they have at some time been dipped in creosote. They are a very similar pattern to a commercial, just a bit smaller.

    Extractor

A swing cage should never blow frames as the whole idea is that the frame is supported by the cage.

    Extractor

I can also testify to the Swing cage type being a brilliant piece of kit, although ours is a Lyson 24 frame. A six minute cycle leaves the frames bone dry and I reckon we have gained a 4% increase of yield just by upgrading the spinner. All frame types are accommodated with zero issues.

Selling, we are doing it wrong.

Our family originate from Norway. One of the family now no longer with us spent years researching and traced back to the village where my ancestors departed from.

    Extractor

I can't comment on konigan, but a quick search will bring up plenty of content from the recent past about this make of equipment. It will probably be worth speaking with Ian @ Old Castle, I've no affiliation but would be my first choice. Lyson, we have a lot of their kit and the premium is...
