    How do you demaree a week before you see QCs? How do you demaree a week before you see QCs. Surely if no QCs you can't know when to demaree?

    Noticed your mention of' mouldy comb' - never had it before but this year bad enough to need to replace about 3 brood frames with drawn wet ones in two hives. Unusual for me.

    Have used Plusnet for last 23 years after previous ISP (V2 I think) went belly up. Very few if any problems mother than cost but can't be bothered to change.

    Sorry but no. At 87 with a wife with alzheimers and her sole carer with little support or help from anywhere due to Covid restrictions I have more on my plate than I can handle already without expansive record keeping for the few bees I have left that are doing quite well without too much...

    Spray them with some warmed light syrup and quickly try to unite through paper with a weak-ish colony rather than just waste them. be kind and just give them a chance.

    Flow Hives

    :iagree: even though I give away most of the honey to family and friends, selling a few jars from the front door occasionally, and only use a little to add to stewed rhubarb and the like. We are well into our 80s with a limited diet but like to see the bees doing their job.

    I did that with a nuc. Stuck it on top my wood store and within - yes within - 24 hours a swarm moved in and I still have their offspring. have put my name down for a Ukrainian refugee or two as well but expect to be told we are too rural. Pity as I feel devastated for what is happening to...
