    it was in the bucket and when i transferred it to the settling honey tank (two buckets)mixed , i was very worried as the honey was not viscous that i tested it in the comb. as it came out of the extractor and in the buckets and aslo byrefractor and hydrometed that sinks about 7"

    i have just extracted three fully capped supers of lime and by refractor and hydrometer at 21c (70f) the water content was 21%, I placed the buckets in a warming cabinet at 40c for two days, (lids off and gauze over tops) and the water content reduced to 18.5%

    Agree, i never take out the workers from a travel cage, removing them comes from that with imported queens you used to have to send the workers to MAFF for testing, leaving them in means you get more queen pheromone out to the new colony quicker. i also alway put the travel cage in within 30mins...

    recommended price by the London BKA is £1 per oz, so that is £16 per lb in central london I cannot achieve that price in outer London suburbs but £10 per lb is the lowest i have seen honey sold at the door and shops £13 or 14 per lb
