    Blowing a gale and cold here. Been out to green house as its sunny to open up the door slightly and to my surprise bees on the chicken drinker I put out for them out the wind. Think there aiming for the hive entrance 10 metres to one side to get back in.

    Checked all 3 hives at home and all 3 bringing in pollen and a load of nectar from somewhere... am going to move one of my best hives back home tomorrow from my out apiary. At least then if we are completly banned from going out I can still stick to my plan of having a go at grafting this year...

    What did you do in the Apiary today?

    Lovely sunny day here in east Lincolnshire, bees all flying and collecting pollen from the helebores and a shrub in the garden covered in white flowers. The hum from it was loud. Was allot warmer than predicted, Was around 12 degrees and at last the wind has dropped.
