I have plenty of room to try the sweet potatoes,I may take a couple of panes of glass out of the greenhouse to let them spead outside if its warm enough in the summer. We always leave the skins on after scrubbing and make them into wedges with some olive oil on the skin air fry or bake in the oven.

    Shopping List

Keep it simple to start with. If your buying bees in the queen will probably be marked so no need to faff around trying to mark her. It always makes me smile when I see the bits of kit beginners have collected and then found they will never use.Hive stands can be some old pallets or concrete...

The law and bee keeping , the use of agricultural land for bees

If the land had fallen into disrepair it sounds as thought the complainant may have had free access to it (walking dog /kids playing) probably doesnt like that someone has cleared it.But it is their land at the end of the day.

    Cheap security camera anyone?

I bough some dummy cameras and tarted them up a bit to make them look a bit more authentic. Some people mix with real cameras to cut down on the price.

    Cautiously optimistic newbie!

Its good to go on a course ,I,ve seen some people who wanted to start beekeeping feel so intimidated when they actually open a hive that they decide its not for them. Some others find there is more to it than they thought buy all the gear and after a year give up. I hope you enjoy your...
