Extracted all the sealed frames today which freed some space in my hives surprised how thick the honey was.Ordered a new extractor tonight as my old plastic one is showing its age and a nightmare to clean.

Inspected hives today the bees are in full flow ,I think that I may have to extract this week as my supply of supers is nearly exhausted. Been making up some spare kit today.

Hawthorn still a while off.Some Sycamore in flower but others only just in leaf.Dandelions seem to have gone over pretty quickly. loads of Cherry blossom and apples in flower .

Went through hive with queen cell today plenty of brood and eggs but failed to find the queen. Decided to make up a nuc with the queen cell so at least if the virgin gets mated I have a backup queen.Will wait to see if they make more queen cells and decide what to do then.

Managed to inspect hives today plenty of brood and stores .My one problem was the one hive with a single charged queen cell ,now have to decide what to do about it .There were plenty of workers and drones so swarm cell or surercedure I'm not sure.

If you are not selling queens use one colour just to spot her or dont bother marking at all. Its not always about finding the queen.

I extracted the stores and we used it for cooking.Not much different than cheap honey from lidl full of sugar syrup.
