    Parrot?

Seems a lot bigger then a parakeet. Also the underside of its wings are a bright red colour.

    Parrot?

While inspecting one of our hives - in sunny East London - we came across this bird in a tree. Seems a bit exotic for London. Any ideas what it is?

    Queen mating

I saw a virgin queen return to my hive Sunday 26th clearly mated with tell tell sign, checked hive today and there is around 1 side of eggs. That would make it 5 days from mating, however the weather has been decent here.

DLQ how long can hive remain queenless

Hi, Discovered a DLQ in one of my hives on Friday 10th May. I have removed the queen. How long can this hive remain queenless before we start having issues? I have a few queen cells grafted recently which will be ready to distribute on Thursday 16th. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

    JzBz cell protectors

Hi, I have the JzBz blue plastic cups for larvae transfer. I also have the hair roller type queen protectors. These protectors however do not fit the jzbz cups. Any idea the correct protectors to buy or how I can make the protectors I have fit? Thanks in advance.

I'm looking at attempting grafting this year also. Does anyone have any links to good videos or explanations that explain the actual moving of larvae process? Thanks.

This must be the worse cut comb honey for sale I have ever seen. How they can justify selling it when its not even capped is beyond me. Any one able to beat this?

Didn't know about the bronzing. Thanks for that. Yes did leave 2 in one give but was a small nuc which I am hoping will not cast. Your probably right though in hindsight should have left one only. Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
