Personally i do anything to try and save them..i currently have a small very weak colony in the house to keep what is left of them warm.. Give the thymol a go and seal the entrance of with some varroa mesh if you are worried about robbing...

Try to save them not kill them..spray them with Thymol sugar syrup..i think it was Dani on here who saved a colony doing such a thing..

I tried growing on some Indian Game x chooks several years ago..i waited for them to reach a good weight and dispatched them..the meat was like rubber and very bland..i put it down to them being free range and getting too much exercise..

Finally and thank the Lord the wind has calmed down..the bees in the garden are out in force in the sun so i took the weak hive that is in the house outside..hives in Northumberland are also busy doing orientation flights..i got a phone call from my lady friend concerned they might be swarming..:D

Nothing is of topic Japey..;) ..i remember seeing that site that you where offered and even dry it was certainly not ideal..your gut instinct saved you wasting your time with that spot..in your Garden you can be hands on everyday which is much better than hives stuck in the middle of nowhere..

Been stung in the ear hole/between my eyes/ back /legs/arms and any where you can think of apart from the privates..with very little reaction but dear lord the ear hole one hurt..the one last year on the back of my hand was on a vein and that is why i think it reacted so bad. that little darling...
