Using standard Supers with Abelo 12 frame poly (top bee space)

Only if your crap at what you do, anything is possible with a little knowledge, the right tools and some determination.

On this point (and not bee keeping) your incorrect, there is a "Dark Side of The Moon" a great Album from Pink Floyd - early 70's. Sorry to be pedantic but its not often on here I can compete! :)

    Mildew/mould

Makes total sense thanks and using relatively thin ply would add almost nothing to the weight

Yes thanks, id defo agree with the solvent issue but thought water based might not cover well, maybe have to try a couple of products and see which adheres and covers the best. Most people seem to recommend masonry paint for poly hive although Laurence at BMH uses spray tins successfully...

    Mildew/mould

Why would you need to ply line it? The bees can't get at the poly as its covered in the river foil. Thanks

That sounds like a very good possibility for the future, do you remember who does this already? Thanks

Using standard Supers with Abelo 12 frame poly (top bee space)

I recon your pretty well on the money there. The floors are already on the to do list following on from BMH's videos and the brood box and lid is the only part of the system I'm really going to be looking at for poly in the future with regards to the added insulation.

Thinking aloud and looking to minimise necessary costs where possible in the future.
