Thank you for all your advice. I think I am going to get 2 nucs so I can (hopefully) have 2 larger/stronger colonies for my first year as well as being able to have a direct comparison between the 2 which I think will be useful in my first year.

I have already ordered one overwintered nuc to make sure I don’t miss out but was unsure whether to preorder a second. This will be my first time beekeeping so apart from the nuc frames the rest will be foundation.
