Custom table runners for village show

most local printing/van livery companies can print them out and get the heavy duty banners with eylets installed for bespoke printing.

What did you do in the Apiary today?

I'm feeling rather inadequate knowing that there are people who can distinguish between a flake of capping from a worker cell and a drone cell

    Are you still inspecting? November?

using the word 'learning' in this case is just using it to justify unnecessary fiddling for the sake of it - a malaise that has cursed this craft for years, mostly thanks to those on the dark side.

    Are you still inspecting? November?

so for no real reason then

    Hagens Bees

it didn't go into liquidation, it was sold to Hagens. It seems to be a regular thing. A moving target is always harder to hit.

    Instantvap lite

you're not supposed to use generic OA either, or do multiple vapes - none of these actions will harm the bees or humans (unless you mistake the OA pot for the sugar bowl or take a good deep breath of sublimated OA to try and clear your sinuseseses

    Frames in the Sales

they won't be any cheaper in the spring sales, in fact they may go up in price. Maisemores also have a sale on, their DN4 frames are only £30.00 for 50, no difference in the quality generally although I've always preferred Maisies. and by getting them now you have the whole winter to put them...

How do you manage gunge when warming stored honey?

    Queen superseded in November

no, not much point, if there is a queen in there, brood break or no, they just need peace to get sorted for the winter. If there is no queen, you will have an empty hive to clean in the spring

    Are you still inspecting? November?

Apart from the DASH audit That was sprung on me late September I've opened very few hives since the end of July. There seems to be an obsession on the dark side with clattering away in the hives, at least weekly until the first frosts!

What did you do in the Apiary today?

Pyracantha are prone to disease, I remember when I was setting out the pollinator planting scheme for the valley's public spaces way back when and the contractor we engaged to do the work was very reluctant to plant it.

What did you do in the Apiary today?

so where are you thinking of relocating to?

    Queen superseded in November

nothing you can do anyway, and fiddling around at this time of year could make things worse. Just hope that you have a perfect supersedure going on and leave them to it. If the old queen had just dropped dead you would have seen emergency QCs being made
