I returned to add a super to my overflowing colony, there was still a big clump of bees at the entrance. Judging by the nectar flow it wouldn't surprise me to see it drawn and filled this week.

Do you have another colony you could pinch a frame of sealed/emerging brood from? If so an extra comb of stores and a frame of comb if you have it or foundation if not and make up a three frame nuc, shake in some bees as well and leave them a while for the flying bees to leave before adding your...

It happens. I had one really stubborn colony a couple of years ago and eventually cleared them by putting a board under each super.

We seem to be struggling there as well ;)

Sour grapes. I thought it was a fairly good game for a final, a desperate goal line clearance from Spain saved extra time. Scotland just made up the numbers and Wales .... well we couldn't even achieve that.

They take full advantage of any spaces that bees cannot patrol. This year we have loads of Lesser as well as Greater, practically every roof we remove has a moth hiding there. I've hooked out moth larvae from the combs of large colonies as well, double brood and multiple supers, tons of bees but...
