    Afternoon all, I have a solid floor WBC hive that has a small nuc inside. I dummied down with some celotex, and poly carbonate crown board. However I can see moisture on the floor through the poly carbonate. Should I consider changing for a vented floor stand? Even in this time of year...

    Glass Crown Board to observe bees in winter

    I’ve just built 2 of the reversible polycarbonate feeders detailed on this site. They are nice and toasty. I used 6mm poly and there’s no condensation inside even on a frosty morning. 75mm celotex cut to fit inside with 25mm to top cover.

    Out to check the hives and find the missing api strip.. Topped up syrup and new fondant. Surprised to find that the centre frame in the brood chamber was full of stores and honey but no brood?? Maybe they’ve gone down to the Nadir?? The other hive still had plenty of fondant and seem less...
