I’ve just built 2 of the reversible polycarbonate feeders detailed on this site. They are nice and toasty. I used 6mm poly and there’s no condensation inside even on a frosty morning. 75mm celotex cut to fit inside with 25mm to top cover.

Out to check the hives and find the missing api strip.. Topped up syrup and new fondant. Surprised to find that the centre frame in the brood chamber was full of stores and honey but no brood?? Maybe they’ve gone down to the Nadir?? The other hive still had plenty of fondant and seem less...

I’ve been feeding since beginning of Oct, and they have a super of honey underneath to. Still taking fondant so I’ll leave them bed I guess?

Why is it a bit late late to remove the syrup?
